膝中动脉（a. genu media；奇关节动脉）是一条细小分支，起自膝关节后方对应处。它穿过斜腘韧带，供应关节内部的韧带及滑膜。
膝中动脉的起源可存在变异：在某些情况下，它与膝上外侧动脉（SLGA）共干起始，或与膝上外侧动脉及膝上内侧动脉（SMGA）共同起自同一主干。[1-2]
膝中动脉的平均长度约为15.6毫米，外径约为1.8毫米。[1] 它沿弯曲路径走行，进入膝关节后囊。进入关节囊的入点平均距股骨外侧髁34.88毫米，距股骨内侧髁46.38毫米。其位置位于后正中线外侧5.74毫米处，距股骨髁下平面垂直距离28.73毫米。[1]
穿过关节囊后，膝中动脉分为两条细小的内侧支和外侧支。
