在前列腺尿道的后壁上有一条狭窄的纵向嵴，称为尿道嵴（精阜），由黏膜及其下方组织的上升所形成。其长度为15至17毫米，高度约为3毫米，根据Kobelt的研究，其内含有肌性组织和勃起组织。当其充血膨胀时，可起到防止精液向后逆流入膀胱的作用。
