骨膜构成耳蜗管外壁，其结构显著增厚并发生性质改变，称为螺旋韧带。其下方向内突出形成三角形隆起，即底嵴，底膜外缘附着于此；嵴的正上方有一凹陷，称为外螺旋沟。螺旋韧带上部含有大量毛细血管袢及小血管，称为血管纹。
