定义
腘肌近端肌腱起自股骨外侧髁、腓骨头及外侧半月板，止于胫骨近端比目鱼肌线上方。腘肌肌腱是膝后外侧角的重要解剖结构。
该肌腱通常经股骨外侧髁上的腘沟走行，可呈多种形态，包括单一肌腱、带有副束的主肌腱或多条肌腱。[2] 与腘肌肌腱密切相关的腘腓韧带在大多数情况下均存在，对膝后外侧稳定性具有重要贡献。[2]
腘肌肌腱的形态学参数如下：长度约为 24.85 mm，起点处宽度约为 7.55 mm，肌腱肌腹交界处宽度约为 8.5 mm，厚度约为 2.6 mm。[3] 在常规膝关节镜检查中，该肌腱无法完整显露，通常仅能观察到其长度的不足一半。[4]
