Arteria medullaris segmentalis

Definition

The segmental medullar artery is a branch of the cervical part (V2 segment) of vertebral artery that follows the spinal branches and supplies the meninges of the spinal cord and vertebral bodies, and is involved in the formation of the arterial plexus in the vertebral canal.
