在颈动脉管开口的内侧、靠近其后缘、颈静脉窝前方，有一个三角形下降；在此三角形的顶点处有一个小开口，即耳蜗导水管（或称耳蜗水管，或称耳蜗导水管），其内容纳硬膜的管状延伸，在外淋巴间隙与蛛网膜下腔之间建立交通，并传导一条来自耳蜗的静脉汇入颈内静脉。
