咽腭弓（arcus pharyngopalatinus；咽峡后柱）较前弓宽大，且更向中线突出；其走行方向为向下、向外侧及向后延伸至咽的侧壁，由咽腭肌被覆黏膜后突出所形成。两侧咽腭弓在下方被一三角形间隙所分隔，腭扁桃体即位于此间隙内。
