枕外侧回

枕中回是枕叶最大的脑回。其上界为枕内沟，下界为枕外侧沟，后界为月状沟（因此在枕极区域不与其他脑回融合）。
根据《解剖学术语》第2版（Terminologia Anatomica 2），该结构有时被称为"枕外侧回"，因为枕中回延伸于上、下两条沟之间，覆盖枕叶外侧面的大部分区域。
在70%的病例中，该脑回被枕中沟分为上部和下部两个部分。
