回旋肌（Rotatores spinae）位于多裂肌深面，仅见于胸段；每侧共十一块。每块肌肉形态细小，略呈四边形；起自横突的上后部，止于上位椎骨椎板的下缘及外侧面，肌纤维延伸至棘突根部。第一块回旋肌位于第一与第二胸椎之间，最后一块位于第十一与第十二胸椎之间。有时，由于上端或下端一块或多块肌肉缺如，该组肌肉的数目可有所减少。
