新皮质
Neocortex
定义
新皮质，又称新脑披（neopallium）和新脑皮层，是哺乳动物大脑的一部分。在人类中，它是大脑皮层中最大的组成部分，覆盖两侧大脑半球，其余部分由异质皮层（allocortex）构成。新皮质由六层结构组成，从外到内依次标记为第Ⅰ层至第Ⅵ层。新皮质参与多种高级功能，包括感觉感知、运动指令的产生、空间推理、意识思维及语言功能。
