描述：
深部体积较小，肌肉质地更为致密；其起点位于颧弓下缘的后三分之一及颧弓内侧面的全部；肌纤维斜向下前方走行，止于下颌支上半部及下颌骨冠突的外侧面。该肌深部在前方被浅部部分遮盖；在后方，则被腮腺所覆盖。两部分的肌纤维在止点处相互延续。
