定义
颈横动脉浅支在斜方肌前缘深面上行，分支分布至斜方肌及颈部邻近肌肉和淋巴结，并与枕动脉降支的浅支相吻合。
该动脉具有升支和降支。颈横动脉降支与深支及肩胛背动脉相吻合，后者进而与肩胛下动脉相连。此吻合形成围绕肩胛骨的环形循环，经肩胛旋动脉与肩胛上动脉相续。
