Antoine Micheau

The morphology of the renal pelvis does not have uniform standards in anatomy and imaging. The shape of the renal pelvis can be divided into horn type, branching type, ampullary type and transitional type.

The branching type of renal pelvis is made of two-to-three major calyces or of seven-to-eleven minor calyces.
