Cisterna valleculae cerebri
Definition
The cistern of cerebral vallecula extends laterally from the origins of the middle cerebral artery (MCA) to the limen insulae.
Note: It is not clear if it is this cistern is analogous to the anterior part of the cistern of lateral cerebral fossa (Sylvian cistern).
