Definition
The frenulum of the labia minora is a thin fold of skin at the posterior junction where the inner lips meet on the vulva just below the vaginal opening.
Due to the sudden stretching of the vulvar orifice during vaginal delivery, the frenulum of the labia minora may be torn.
