Sulcus venae cavae inferioris
Definition
The groove for inferior vena cava on the mediastinal surface of the right lung is located in front and to the right of the lower part of the esophageal groove. It is a deep concavity for the extrapericardiac portion of the thoracic part of the inferior vena cava.
This term should not be confused with the groove for inferior vena cava on the liver.
