Definition
The interdigital spaces of the hand, often called web spaces, are the anatomical regions located between adjacent metacarpal bones and their corresponding digits. There are four such spaces:
1st interdigital space: Situated between the thumb and index finger.
2nd interdigital space: Lies between the index finger and the middle finger.
3rd interdigital space: Found between the middle finger and the ring finger.
4th interdigital space: Located between the ring finger and the little finger.
