Bronchus intermedius

Definition

Antoine Micheau

The intermediate bronchus (Bronchus intermedius) is the bronchial segment of the right bronchial tree that extends from the take off of the right upper lobe bronchus to the point where it bifurcates into the right middle lobe bronchus and the right lower lobe bronchus. It is unique to the right lung and has no left-sided counterpart.
