Synchondroses intraoccipitalis
Definition
The intraoccipital synchondroses are a cartilaginous joints inside the occipital bone, between different parts of development. There is two main synchondroses : the posterior intraoccipital synchondrosis (between posterior and lateral ossification centers) and the anterior intraoccipital synchondrosis (between lateral and anterior ossification centers).
