Antoine Micheau

The left subphrenic space is larger than the right subphrenic space. It relates to the anterior parts of the cardia and fundus of the stomach, the diaphragmatic surface of the spleen and the diaphragmatic surface of left lobe of the liver. It is limited posteriorly by the left triangular ligament and inferomedially by the splenogastric, splenorenal and phrenicocolic ligaments.
