Definition

Lobule of auricle is the non-cartilaginous inferior end of the auricle (or external ear) that lies below the tragus and the antitragus. It is composed of tough areolar and adipose tissues. Since, the lobule is devoid of an elastic cartilaginous framework, therefore it lacks the firmness and elasticity of the rest of the auricle.
