胸锁后韧带是一条覆盖于关节后表面的同类纤维束；其上方附着于锁骨胸骨端的上后部，斜向下内方走行，下方固定于胸骨柄上部的背面。其前方与关节盘及滑膜相邻；后方与胸骨舌骨肌及胸骨甲状肌相邻。
