蝶骨小翼的后缘光滑而圆钝，嵌入大脑外侧裂；该后缘的内侧端形成前床突，其为小脑幕提供附着；前床突有时通过一骨性骨刺与中床突相连，当此情况发生时，颈内动脉沟末端即转变为一孔（颈动脉床突孔）。
