Stratum ganglionicum
定义
神经节细胞层由单层大型神经节细胞组成，但在黄斑处除外，该区域存在数层细胞。这些细胞呈烧瓶形；每个细胞圆形的内表面紧贴光学层; 第三层，并发出一条轴突延伸其中。从细胞的另一端，大量树突伸入内丛状层，在该层内分支并在不同层面形成扁平的树枝状分布。神经节细胞的大小差异显著，较小细胞的树突通常在进入内丛状层后即刻形成分支；而较大细胞的树突则在靠近内核层处形成分支。
