黏膜（黏液膜；黏液层）与衬覆咽鼓管、鼻腔、口腔及喉的黏膜相延续。在咽的鼻部，黏膜表面覆以柱状纤毛上皮；在口部和喉部，上皮为复层扁平上皮。黏膜下方可见葡萄状黏液腺（咽腺）；这些腺体在咽上部咽鼓管开口周围尤为丰富。
