Plica axillaris anterior

Definition
The anterior axillary fold, also known as the anterior armpit fold, refers to the inferior border of the anterior wall of axilla. It is created by the axillary skin covering the muscle fibers of the pectoralis major muscle, which extend sideways to attach to the outer rim of the bicipital groove of the humerus.
