Arteria parietalis anterior
Definition
The anterior parietal artery is a branch of MCA coursing near the intraparietal sulcus.
The cortical area supplied by this artery (Michotey et al.) is the anterior parietal area: superior part of the postcentral gyrus, frequently the upper part of the central sulcus, the anterior part of the inferior parietal lobule, and the anteroinferior part of the superior parietal lobule.
