Artery of central sulcus

Arteria sulci centralis

Definition

The artery of central sulcus is a branch of MCA that courses into the central sulcus.

The cortical area supplied by this artery (Michotey et al.) is the precentral area: superior part of the precentral gyrus and the inferior one-half of the postcentral gyrus.
