Definition

Marjorie Champarou

The articular facet for stapes corresponds to the distal extension of the long limb of the incus, which ends in a small articular surface known as the lenticular process. It is oval and flattened in shape, covered with cartilage, and articulates with the head of the stapes to form the incudostapedial joint.
