Circumductio
Definition
Circumduction is a movement which can be brought about at the shoulder or the hip joints (both being ball and socket variety of joints). For example, circumduction at the shoulder joint can be brought about by moving the outstretched arm in a circle and is brought about by a combination of movements including flexion, extension, adduction and abduction.
