Definition
The cricothyroid joint is the articulation between the thyroid and cricoid cartilages, including the edian cricothyroid ligament (anterior part of the conus elasticus) and the articular capsule of the articulation of the inferior cornu of the thyroid with the cricoid cartilage on either side.
