False chordae tendineae
Chordae tendineae falsae; Chordae tendineae spuriae
Definition
The false chordae tendineae are not attached to the cusps of the atrioventricular valve, unlike the true chordae tendineae. They are only connected between papillary muscles or to the ventricular wall or ventricula septum.
