Fibrous joints of vertebral column

The fibrous joints of vertebral column are the fibrous connective tissues that allow to the bones of the vertebral column to connect to each other without a joint cavity between them. These different fibrous tissues include:

• Anterior atlantoaxial membrane

• Posterior atlantoaxial membrane

• Interspinous ligaments

• Ligamenta flava

• Intertransverse ligaments

• Supraspinous ligament

• Nuchal ligament

• Anterior longitudinal ligament

• Posterior longitudinal ligament

• Intercornual ligament
