Horizontalis
Definition
Horizontal (a.k.a. transverse or axial) plane divides the body or any of its parts into upper and lower parts.
The horizontal plane is intersected at right angles by the vertically-oriented coronal (side-to-side) and sagittal (antero-posterior) planes.
