Inferior frontal sulcus

Sulcus frontalis inferior

Definition

The inferior frontal sulcus is positioned horizontally and is located in front of the lower portion of the precentral sulcus. This sulcus separates the inferior frontal gyrus beneath it from the middle frontal gyrus above it. Both gyri are parallel to each other.
