Definition

The middle lobe of prostate was previously described of the upper smaller part of the posterior surface of prostate that intervenes between the ejaculatory ducts and the urethra.

According to the Terminologia Anatomica 2, the middle lobe of prostate is now considered as a variation consisting of an independent prominence extending from the isthmus
