Definition

The parietooccipital branches of the pericallosal artery are its largest cortical branches, lying in the parietooccipital sulcus and supplying the medial and superolateral surface of the parietal lobe posterior to the paracentral lobule and sometimes extending to supply part of the occipital lobe.
