Posterosuperior segment of glenoid labrum
Segmentum postério-superiorus labri glenoideum
Definition
For descriptive purposes of labral injuries, the glenoid labrum can be subdivided in different segments by two methods:
Clock face assignment: labral position is localized by superimposing the face of a clock onto the surface of the glenoid. By convention, 12 o’clock is superior, 3 o’clock is anterior, 6 o’clock is inferior, and 9 o’clock is posterior.
6 segments of the glenoid labrum:
Note that these 6 segments do not overlap the four quadrants classification of the glenoid surface.
