Regions of upper limb include:

  • Axillary region: The armpit area, forming the junction between the upper limb and the thorax.

  • Deltoid region: The rounded contour of the shoulder, primarily formed by the deltoid muscle.

  • Brachial region: The arm proper, extending from the shoulder to the elbow.

  • Cubital region: The area around the elbow joint, including the anterior cubital fossa and posterior olecranon.

  • Antebrachial region: The forearm, extending from the elbow to the wrist.

  • Carpal region: The wrist, encompassing the carpal bones.

  • Hand region: The distal part of the upper limb, including the palm, dorsum, and digits (fingers).
