Definition

IMAIOS

The superior aberrant ductules are small accessory bile ducts that may arise from the superior portion of the liver, usually from the right hepatic lobe. They drain bile directly into the hepatic ducts, the gallbladder, or the cystic duct instead of following the typical biliary drainage pattern. These ducts represent an anatomical variation and can be clinically significant during hepatobiliary surgery.
