Plexus aorticus thoracicus
Definition
Thoracic aortic plexus refers to a meshwork of post-ganglionic sympathetic neurons which invest around the thoracic aorta. These post-ganglionic sympathetic neurons are derived from the inferior cervical ganglion or the cervicothoracic (stellate) ganglion.
