在膈面后部的大部分范围内，该区域不被腹膜覆盖；这一未覆盖的部分（裸区）在其最宽处约为7.5厘米，与膈直接接触。该区域以冠状韧带上层的反折线与上面为界，以冠状韧带下层的反折线与下面为界。
