固有口腔（cavum oris proprium）两侧及前方以牙槽弓及其所含牙齿为界；后方经一狭窄开口——即咽峡——与咽相通。固有口腔上壁（顶）由硬腭和软腭构成，底部大部分由舌形成，其余部分则由黏膜自舌两侧及舌下面反折至覆盖下颌骨内侧面的牙龈而构成。固有口腔接受下颌下腺和舌下腺的分泌物。
