牙本质（substantia eburnea；象牙质）构成牙齿的主要部分。它是骨组织的一种变体，但在结构上与骨组织有所不同。在显微镜下观察，可见其由大量细小的波状分支管道组成，即牙小管，嵌于致密均质的基质（matrix）中。
