定义
蝶骨大翼的颞面位于其外侧面，在颞下嵴上方。该区域参与构成颞窝的骨性底壁，并与另外三块骨相关节：额骨、顶骨和颞骨鳞部，共同形成称为翼点的区域。翼点是颅骨中尤为脆弱的区域，受到颞部撞击后极易发生骨折。此类损伤可导致颅腔内深面的脑膜中动脉破裂，进而可能引发硬膜外血肿。
蝶骨大翼的颞面与额骨、顶骨及颞骨鳞部共同作为颞肌肌纤维的附着部位。这些肌肉在咀嚼运动中发挥着重要作用。
