定义
后界层（后弹性板；lamina elastica posterior；Descemet膜；Demours膜）覆盖于固有质的后表面，是一层极薄的弹性、透明均质膜，不因水、酒精或酸而变为不透明。从固有质上剥离后，该膜会卷曲，或以附着面朝内向自身卷折。
在角膜边缘，后弹性板分裂为纤维，形成前文所述的小梁组织；小梁之间的间隙称为虹膜角间隙（Fontana间隙）；它们与巩膜静脉窦及滤帘角处的前房相通。部分小梁组织的纤维延续进入虹膜实质，形成虹膜梳状韧带；另一些纤维则与巩膜及脉络膜的前部相连。
