中央胶状质
Substantia gelatinosa centralis
定义
在颈段和胸段，中央管位于脊髓前三分之一处；在腰膨大处，中央管接近中部；在延髓锥体处，中央管趋近后表面。中央管内充满脑脊液，管壁衬以纤毛柱状上皮，其外侧环绕一圈胶状质，即中央胶状质（substantia gelatinosa centralis）。
该胶状质主要由神经胶质细胞构成，但含有少量神经细胞及神经纤维；衬于中央管的纤毛柱状细胞深端发出的突起穿行其中。
