Origin: Dorsalsacral iliac ligament on the lateral part of the third caudal vertebra.

Insertion: Transverse process of the fifth and sixth caudal vertebra.

Action: With the intertransversarius ventralis caudalis, lateral flexion of the tail.

Nerve: Branches of the plexus caudalis ventralis.
