中斜角肌
Musculus scalenus medius
定义
中斜角肌起自第一肋的中间部分，止于第6至第3颈椎横突。其位置在腹侧斜角肌的背侧。在许多物种中，中斜角肌与腹侧斜角肌之间以臂丛为界，但在犬等肉食动物中，这一界限并不存在，由此引发了诸多定义上的问题……
起点： 第一肋中间部分
止点： C3–C6横突（猪另包括C1和C2）
功能： 使颈部向下运动。单侧收缩时，使颈部侧屈。当颈部固定时，肋上部分可参与吸气运动。
神经： 颈神经及胸神经的腹侧支。
