Definition
The appendicular skeleton consists of the bones of the limbs and the girdles that attach them to the axial skeleton.
It includes the pectoral (shoulder) girdles, the bones of free par of upper limbs, the pelvic girdle, and the bones of the free part of lower limbs.
In total, the appendicular skeleton contains 126 bones
